Research cover topics such as mental health needs of urban students, student motivation, teacher practice, school-to-work programs, community development and, reforming large urban schools.
S.T.E.A.M. Education
An approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. At AISMA we create internal and external partner engagement opportunities around STEAM concepts and ideas. We focus on researched methods for merging STEAM disciplines through interdisciplinary, multi-disciplinary, cross-disciplinary, and arts-integration. in order to advance research and practice in STEAM education.

COVID-19 In the year 2020 has taught us that education including medical education can be delivered in a non-traditional manner. The mission is the same but the path to achieving our highest standard can be reached by outside of the box thinking. A large portion of the new delivery system is technology. So using new technologies to teach the next generation of doctors - who would have thought. We did.
